Event Details

It is the traditional festival par excellence of Lio Piccolo and contains the history and culture of the village of the Northern Lagoon in which you can still find crops and jujube plants.

The Saturday program starts at 16:30 with the presentation of the book „Lio Piccolo. Thousand years of stories, people and destinies in the Venice Lagoon“ by Piero Santostefano. This book offers a fascinating journey into the thousand-year history of Lio Piccolo, revealing stories of people and destinies that have been intertwined in the beautiful setting of the Venice Lagoon.

At 18:00, the event continues with the theatrical performance „E finalmente il mare!“ , part of the „Veneto, a poem from dawn to dusk“ exhibition curated by the Teatro dei Pazzi. This show promises to thrill the audience with its engaging storytelling and intense performances.

The day of Sunday, September 15 begins at 10:00 with the opening of the market exhibition, where you can discover and buy local agri-food products. The food and wine stands will offer traditional dishes, allowing visitors to taste the specialties of the area in a convivial and festive atmosphere. Musical entertainment will further enrich the experience, creating a perfect backdrop for a day of taste and culture.

During the two days of the festival, you can also visit two exhibitions: „Fragments of Lagoon“, a permanent exhibition that explores the history and archaeology of the place, and „Essenze“, a personal exhibition by the artist Vanni D’Este.

The entrance to the Jujube Festival is free. A train and bicycles service is available to reach the Borgo di Lio Piccolo, since access to motor vehicles is not allowed in the active ZTRU area. For more information on access and parking, please consult the following web address:
