Our coasts house two daily markets which take place every Tuesday morning in the market place of Cavallino and on Thursday mornings in the public square of Treporti. Moreover, in the summer period, from May to September, the public square of Cavallino houses every Friday evening a local market with objects of antique dealing and some oddity.

Farmer’s Market in Ca’ Savio: Piazza Papa Giovanni Paolo II, Ca’ Savio, Wednesday, 8.00 am 1.00 pm.

Evening market in Cavallino: Piazza S.M. Elisabetta, Cavallino, Friday, 6.00 pm – 10.00 pm.

The cuisine

Although it has been very simple for a long time as the tradition suggests, the Venetian cuisine has found in its dishes of fish its maximum expression. What else could be more unusual than a supper while taking a tour in the inns of the coast or going around the ‘calle’ (narrow streets) in Venice tasting as an appetizer the red ‘Spritz’, proceeding then with the “nips” made up of fish accompanied by a good Venetian ‘prosecco’ (white sparkling wine)? You cannot even lose razor-shells, little polyps with filling, pickled and ‘in “saor”’ anchovies, fried mixed fish, whipped dried cod and much more. You can ask our reception and we will be glad to suggest you some specific tours in Venice. You cannot even lose the various farm holidays scattered in the surroundings of the lagoon. They are easily reacheable even by bicycle and they can even offer a low priced good lunch and a panoramic sight on the lagoon of Venice.
